Rapper Post Malone performed a powerful rendition of “America the Beautiful” at Super Bowl LVIII, kicking off the game between the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs in style.
Sporting an acoustic guitar and a maroon blazer, the Grammy-winning musician’s heartfelt performance was met with loud applause and cheers from the crowd gathered at Allegiant Stadium in Los Vegas.
Malone, born Austin Post, will be seen again during the Big Game: The rapper/actor stars in a 2024 Super Bowl ad for Bud Light alongside Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning.
Malone’s performance was the second of three pregame songs scheduled on the schedule. Before “America the Beautiful,” there was a beautiful rendition of “Lift Every Voice and Sing” by singer Andra Day. Following Malone, country legend Reba McEntire performed the national anthem.
